Next Generation Architecture (NGA) was a from scratch product development initiative focusing on creating a new product for a UK based client very well known in the Human Resources Domain. Its business focus being objective assessment and development of people, jobs, and organizations, helping clients increase productivity, and profitability through more effective use of their human resources. The client had a complete portfolio of existing products to support it service offerings.
The client was hence looking forward to increase the benefits of IT within its product portfolio with aim to bring new products and capabilities of its products to market faster. As part of this vision, the NGA project envisioned building the Next Generation Architecture of its products. It envisioned an Enterprise Solution using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), based on the .Net framework’s support for Web Services.
As part of the development initiative, our Techarts were involved in from scratch Requirements Analysis, Scope definition, creating of a Business Architecture, Business Process Workflow analysis, performing Build/Buy/Reuse analysis, developing an IT Roadmap, creating Estimates, Program & Project plan, developing Prototypes & implementing the product on .Net 2.0 framework using Microsoft® VS 2005 Team Suite.
