The ODC (Offshore Development Center) model primarily focuses on building an extended
team for the Client's complete software development program, at our development center
itself. Our development team is solely dedicated at managing the Client's operations.
As part of our ODC offering we can provide both Technical as well as Management support
to our Clients at our development center. The Client simply pays based on the Head count
of the various Techarts involved in the complete program for a prior approved duration.
The general mode of operation involves a core
TAP
process.
The
Technology
transfer phase, where either our team of techarts visits the Client's center
onsite or a team of experts from the Client side visit our offshore center for
Technology transfer.
This is followed by Technology
Adoption
phase where our team of techarts replicate the technology environment of the Client Site
at our development center.
Which is finally followed by the Technology
Production
phase where our team of techarts finally start delivering services to augment the Client's
development needs.
The Offshore model primarily focuses on working for the Client's development
team on a per project basis. Projects in such a model can fall into one of the two
categories
-
Fixed Price; or
-
Time & Material (T&M) based.
These project categories are generally based on whether the project requirements are
closed or still open from the client's business team. The Client also gives our
development team a set of requirements, & the time frame expected for completion
of the project.
Thereon based on the requirements provided our development team comes up with an
effort estimate invloved in the project, as well a thorough project plan as per
the time frames involved, a resource plan and the budget invloved. The resources in
this model may include both Technical as well as Management team members.
In case the project is approved by the Client, our development team works on the
project at our development center and the Client simply pays based on the project
category.
The Onsite/Offshore model is similar to the Offshore model, but differs in a minor way
with respect to allocation of our resources for the project. Wherein the project
might require allocation of some of our team members at the Client's location - Onsite.
Though the main development activities are performed Offshore, but some project
activities like Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Installation, Testing and
Integration might require presence of our team members, Onsite. There might even be
requirement for a permanent Onsite Co-ordinator/Manager to help manage
expectations between the Client, Onsite & Offshore team. This Onsite/Offshore
model thus helps take care of all the project requirement eventualities in the most
cost-effective manner.
